KINDERGARTEN

In this first year studio, the class was tasked with designing a kindergarten on the Riverdale Park Hill. The design for this kindergarten contains all programmatic elements within a long rectilinear structure. The volume emerges from the hill in a gentle incline which allows for occupiable roof space. The partition walls rotate along the circular geometry of the bean shape. As one progresses throughout the space a variety of program spaces revealed - down to the buried portion of the lowest level.
